Hello! Today we drew pictures and made lists of what we like to do. We had a discussion about what hobbies are and then we read a book and brainstormed about some hobbies. Mrs. Polski came to visit and told us one of her hobbies in the summer is playing golf. We thought her description of "something I love to do and could do everyday!" was a great way to explain what a hobby is.
We wrote a "yes/no" survey question and then asked as many of our friends as we could. Ask me what my survey question was and then maybe you could tell me about your hobby!
It was such a beautiful day that we saved PE/gym until the end of the day and practiced doing our end of the day chores. Ask me what my chore was this week. We will all get new chores next week so we can learn how to care and be responsible for our classroom.
We will be studying all kinds of flying and crawling insects and bugs this year, so if you want to find any extra bug books at the library and keep your eyes open to be a careful observer you will get a head start on being a ENTOMOLOGIST, a scientist who studies bugs!
A big packet of forms is coming home today - thank you for reading through them and signing and returning them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is FRESH AIR FRIDAY. We are looking forward to being outside most of the morning, so remember to dress for the weather and just pack a snack - we don't need a lunch tomorrow!!
