Thanks to the parents who have volunteered their time for the Glenbow Museum Field Trip on Wednesday, December 11th.
A reminder to pack a garbage free lunch bag and water bottle for the day as we will be leaving our backpacks at school.
Today we discussed "rounding to friendly numbers" Friendly numbers have "0" in the ones place and are much easier to add up and find a good estimate. We used cards to pick 2 numbers and then had to decide if we would round up or down to make it a friendly number. (Example: a "3" and a "5" would be "35" and we would round UP to "40"
Most of us were working on our "sloppy copy" for our story...tomorrow we will "cops + J" and then start on our good copy with spaces, neat printing and spelling corrections!.
Today after Library and Gym (hockey) we did art. We worked on sketching illustrations for our stories, using pencil, pencil crayon and skinny sharpie to outline. Some drew reindeer, Santa, dragons, elves, Frosty the snowman, the Grinch - even an evil santa!
