Today we started to pack our suitcase for our trip to the Arctic! We are using our research to decide what to bring for clothes and activities. Ask me what colour my suitcase is, What place "stickers" I have on the outside and what are a few of the things I am making to put inside.
For Word Work today we had to listen carefully - Mrs. Armour read a sentence and then we had to print it. It's called "dictation" and it's a good way to practice our word families. We wrote 3 today and we will write 3 tomorrow and 2 on Thursday. This will help us see which words we know and which ones we need to practice.
Math - we were all "game testers" today. We are playing each other's board games to see if they all "work" smoothly. We are giving positive, helpful feedback on our friend's games, so they can be the best they can be for Friday. We will have a "game extravaganza" on Friday morning with our Big Buddies. We will try another word problem tomorrow.
We did another observation of our Ice Village and recorded our findings. We needed to include the date, the temperature, at least one sentence, and a diagram. We noticed some melting, some breaking and predicted our village will be covered with snow again soon!
Thanks Elizabeth for sharing her favorite song today by Dean Brody called, "It's Friday."
Tomorrow is Colin's share day, so we hope he is feeling better!
Thursday is Emmaline's day (and Fun Lunch!)
Friday is Georgia's day.
Thanks for help with the Blog today...in Gym we are using scooters!
"In Gym we did a relay."
"We raced. I do not know who won."
"Today was a fun day. Quiet reading was nice. Word Work was fun."
