It's another chilly, snowy week out there! Thank you for sending us with all our warm clothing to walk to and from swimming and play outside.

Swimming tomorrow. A reminder to send an extra snack if you can as the students get hungry after their swim and walk! Thank you.


We are thinking about Remembrance Day all week. We wrote out the poem In Flanders Fields to practice our printing and spacing.

Did you know Barlow Trail, McKnight Boulevard and Currie Barracks were all named after Calgarians who were part of fighting for our freedom?

We are working on "decreasing number patterns" in Math. We started at 100 and decreased by 11. Ask me what the pattern was like. Ask me what other number I chose for another decreasing pattern.

In Art today, Ms. Jones showed us an example and gave us instructions on how to create an "inchie" We are using the poppy theme again with three, 3 inch square papers, using water colour. Ask me what my three squares look like.

Friday is our Remembrance Day Assembly. It will start at 10:45 am. All welcome. A reminder if your child is in Scouts, Beavers, Guides, Brownies, they are welcome to wear their uniform. Otherwise, we are thinking red, black or white shirts/clothes would be a great choice, but totally optional.

Mrs. Armour asked if any of us would like to memorize In Flanders Fields and recite it on Friday. Ask me if I put up my hand and if I can practice over the next few nights to be ready.

Conferences will be November 21st, 4-8pm and November 22nd, 8-12pm. You will be able to book a 15-minute conference with your child’s teacher starting at 6 am on Saturday, November 16, 2019 until 6 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2019.
