Inch worm, inch worm, measuring the marigolds...and arms and legs and...

We have been discovering the difference between perimeter and area, estimating then testing to see how close our estimate was.

Today was Transition Day where the grade twos went to visit the grade three classrooms to see a little bit of what it will be like next year! We worked on graphs with a buddy. Grade ones were all together in Room 1 and 2 and welcomed the Kindergarteners. Mrs. Hamby read "Gingerbread Baby" and then with our little buddies, we measured our hands, arms, feet and legs. Then we each coloured a half of our "gingerbread kid" to take home. It was fun to practice being the leaders! Check out Room 1's blog to see some pictures.

If we were a part of Run Club today was celebration day! We didn't run but ate together in the Clubhouse, total laps/km run....525!!! Well done. As a symbol of "passing the baton" we all got pencils:) See you back running in September!

We reviewed our plans, shopped at 'Home Depot' and started our ship building today!
