Be Kind and Wear Pink!

It was so great to see the "sea of pink" today! We watched a "kindness is cool" book - a teacher challenged her class to count all the things they did that were kind at school, at home and in their community and they were able to do 100 acts of kindness! We had a Coffin Cares assembly and watched the video of where/when/why "pink shirt day" started (Hint: Nova Scotia in 2007...ask me why?)

We studied a map of Canada and printed the Prairie Provinces, Arctic Ocean, Nunavut and two cities, Calgary and Iqaliut. Can you find all of them on the map below?

Mrs Armour had a "Inuit Art" calendar from last year that she kept...we all chose a picture to draw and colour in our art journals. We noticed most of the Inuit art is quite simple with white backgrounds and only a few colours. Ask me which one I chose to draw and why.

In gym we did a few more relay games with sticks and soft pucks and hoops and bean bags.

We had music today. Ask me what we did.

Mrs. Boyer and baby Claire came for a visit!! Claire is so cute and she was even wearing pink! She is now 3 months old.

LIBRARY TOMORROW.
NO SCHOOL FRIDAY.
