Thursday, April 18th - Happy Easter!

Today we gathered at the carpet with our suitcases to check to see if we had everything we needed to go on our Arctic Adventure - we have used this website as our "go to" to research lots of different things about Nunavut. Ask me what I needed to add to my suitcase!

Mrs. Armour wrote the sentences that she had dictated to us on the Smart board and we checked our sentences to see which words were easy for us and which ones we still need to practice! This is really grade two work, so the grade ones challenged themselves to check if they had all the "ot" and "an" words spelled correctly and had Capitals and periods. We discussed which words might have been "tricky" and came up with - were, called, and a lot (a lot of us spelled it as one word alot).

For Math we used Chromebooks to write up our information page for our Inuksuk. Ask me what ours was called and what does it mean. Ask me if I remember how tall or wide it is. We will display these in the hallway next week!

Today was Fun Lunch! Thank you to Max and Joel's moms (Adrienne and Emily) who volunteered!!

After Library, we ran a lap outside and then divided up into "Arctic Bird" groups - Snowy Owls, Tundra Swans, Arctic Terns, Ravens and Ptarmigans and went into the wild to hunt for our eggs.

Thank you for returning your YELLOW FORMS for next year and SWIM FORMS for May.

We will be having Teacher's Pet come for an in-school field trip on May 1st. It will be a great introduction to our Acadia/East Coast Adventure! It is $14/student. We will send home information and forms next week. If you are available to volunteer on Wednesday, May 1st from 8:45 - 11am, please email Mrs. Armour.
