It was a Blue day today, so we had indoor recess and lunch time inside in the Learning Commons. Tomorrow the weather channel says it might get up to -11C, so we will wait and see and dress warm just in case we get to go outside!
In gymnastics today, we are practicing to share with a partner three things. Balance, then travel, then end with a shape. We ran out of time today, so only one group shared. Tomorrow we will start practicing right away so everyone gets a chance to share. Ask me what I am planning on sharing for my balance move! It was fun.
Arthur read from another Blackfoot graphic novel called Ksistsikoom. It means Thunder. Ask me what the story was about. Next time, Mrs. Armour might play the DVD so we can watch it on the smart board.
Today in Music, we learned about "Folly", which is when instruments make sound effects for movies. We also make a film with instruments too.
Thanks to Madalynn, Tessa, Georgia and Arthur that are helping with the blog this week.
Thank you to Samantha who shared her pictures about swimming in the summer at the lake and the pool. It helped to warm us up!
Tomorrow is the first day of February. Did you know it's the shortest month of the year? Ask me to see if I can find a calendar and count all the days.
Grade twos will continue to work on homophones - do you know the difference between THERE, THEY'RE and THEIR? Grade ones are continuing to work on word families. How many IT and IG words can you think of?
Ask me if I have decided on which Nose Hill animal to research. See you tomorrow!
