Tuesday

Poetry Challenge - Ask us if we copied a poem, created a poem or performed a poem today!

Gymnastics - we discovered different ways to balance, travel across the mats and had a shape challenge...making our bodies into letters and our partners had to guess what our word was. Ask us what word we made.

Library today - we are bringing home new books to read!

Animal Research - we have a big list of animals that live or used to live on Nose Hill. Our job today and tomorrow is to "image research" all the animals and highlight our "top five" choices. We will choose our own animal to research by the end of the week. A few of us wondered about snakes, so we checked the friends of nose hill website and found that there are garter snakes, chorus frogs and tiger salamanders that live there so we added them to the list! You can check out this website and do some research at home if you'd like.

Sharing - Thanks to Colin and Max who shared pictures of their family trips today! Thanks also to those who keep creating, copying and performing their illustrated poems.

Today we heard we have enough volunteers to add MONDAY TO HOME READING, so thanks for reading and bringing back your book bags every day except Friday now.

Even though the last couple days have been beautiful the weather experts are telling us the snow and cold are coming again. We were hoping to go to Nose Hill on Friday, but that will have to wait for another milder Friday. WE WILL BE GOING OUTSIDE FOR FRESH AIR FRIDAY to explore around the school, so please remind us to dress warm with coats, snow pants, boots, mitts and hats!
