Happy Monday!

Today was Journal day. We tried to tell at least one person about our weekend before we started our picture and story. It sometimes helps our brain when we can talk about our thoughts out loud before writing them down. We practiced writing a paragraph together on the Smart board. Mrs. Armour wrote our ideas about the TOPIC sentence, 3 or more DETAILS and a CLOSING sentence. This helps us stay on topic when we write.

We played a volleyball like game today. First, we played with benches and then helped set up the nets. We played boys against boys and girls against girls. It is a little harder getting the ball over the high nets! Most of us remembered PACE and tried our best. Participate, Attitude, Cooperate, Effort. At the end, we told our teammates one thing they did well.

The amaryllis plant now has a stem that is 55cm and 4 blooms! We think it will bloom in the next few days. Ingmar and Emmaline are caring for it this week.

Most of us have different jobs this week - ask us what our job is and how we do it at the end of the day.

Today we worked on our animal research again. We got to type on the computers. The Beaver group accidentally printed their facts to the colour printer so it was lost for awhile, but we found it. Ask us what animal group we are in and what facts we are going to use for our Who Am I? poster.

TOMORROW IS....TREAT DAY and LIBRARY and HOME READING. Please remind us to bring 25 cents (a quarter - what animal is on the quarter?) and our books back so we can exchange them.

Have a great evening!
