Thanks to Max, Malik, Jared and Lucas for helping with Blog today. We just have a couple of thoughts...

We played volleyball games today during gym. Our hits are going over the nets more and more and we are learning to play together as a team with each person responsible for a different area. We only have one more day to play volleyball.

While the grade ones were printing some "ap" and "an" words at their desks, the grade twos were discovering something called, "The Vowel Circle." This idea groups vowels depending on what our mouths are doing! Smile, open, slider or bossy r's. Ask us if we can remember a word that might fit in each group.

We almost all finished our "Who Am I?" posters today. Those that were finished shared at the carpet. Most of us knew the animal because we've been working together, but we tried to "hold our guesses" until the group read all the clues. It was interesting to hear so many different facts about the beaver, lynx, deer, and bat. Tomorrow the skunk group will share.

Lots of us are sharing poems now - some from books and some we have created. We are becoming poets!

Mr. O'Reilly is giving us a music test tomorrow. Ask us if there is something we can share with you.

Today we had a a "lock OUT" drill to remind us what to do if we get locked out of the school by the Kindergarten room door. This would be while we are going in to gym or lunch or music. Ask us what we would do.

Tomorrow report cards come home. FRIDAY IS A PD Day so no school for students.
